Engagements & Anniversaries
Engagement photos are important. Even you aren’t using them traditionally they are a great way to have photos of the two of you before you were married. If you are booking a wedding with me they are also a great way for me to get to know the both of you personally and photographically before your big day.
If you book a wedding package with me the pricing for an engagement session is as follows…
- Aspen Package, a full adventure engagement is included in package pricing, this includes farther distances and hiking to locations.
- Blue Spruce Package, engagement session included in the Front Range and Rocky Mountain National Park with minimal hiking (ask me about the upgrade to adventure engagement)
- Cottonwood Package, the cost is only $400 as an add-on.
- Engagement is complimentary with all Video inclusive packages except Cottonwood + Video. With that package adding on an engagement is only $300.
- Engagement Sessions are $800.00 a la carte
- You can start out just booking an engagement session. You can find out how we work together, then after our engagement session if you decide to book a wedding package with me, the full amount is applied to your wedding package (except Cottonwood, $400).
Engagement sessions include 2-4 hours of what I like to call a “photo safari”. My clients consistently tell me that it was SO much fun and they saw places that, even if they grew up in Colorado, they hadn’t seen before. Think of it more as a day of guided adventure at a location of your choice that you happen to get fantastic photos from.

The moment I saw Gretchen's work, I knew she would be our photographer.. we waited until pretty close up to our (very small) wedding to decide to hire one, which added an additional layer of stress with everything coming up so quickly. We also live in Texas, our wedding was in Boulder, CO. She is so friendly and so professional, which made the process very smooth as she helped me identify what I wanted out of this experience, amidst all of the chaos.

Gretchen photographed our family during our family vacation in Fraser. She was very accommodating! I love the documentary photos that she took of us gathered in our airbnb and the group photos we took down the street with a beautiful mountain backdrop!! We were a large group (15 including four very young children!) but she captured some precious moments! I am very grateful for her skills and her efficiency!
Wow. Gretchen did an INCREDIBLE job photographing my huge extended family in Estes Park. We had 5 little ones, uncles, aunts, grandparents, and parents. Somehow she was able to take the most beautiful pictures with everyone looking at the camera. I love how natural the pictures came out. Everyone's personality came through. Gretchen made sure she got all of the picture combinations we wanted. She was also great at selecting the location to take the pictures.

Gretchen did AMAZING job as our photographer! We are from Texas and had no idea what our elopement day would look like but she gave us the run-through a week before and we couldn't be happier with our wedding day. Gretchen shot our wedding in May, and also did some engagement shots for us in the previous fall. We were really happy with all the shots we got, and were proud to share images of the wedding with our friends and loved ones. It also helped that she was very familiar with all the venues around Boulder and was able to give us good advice on locations for photography.
