Anniversary Package:
Nicole and Patrick got married at Black Canyon Inn in the Fall of 2023. They live down in Alamosa and had hoped to have a one year anniversary session with me down at the Great Sand Dunes National Park right near them. When I found an opening in late fall for my favorite campsite at the campground in the park… a very hard get, I contacted them immediately to see if we could make it work. Thankfully they could come and Nicole and I worked on getting her the perfect dress for the photo session. She absolutely nailed it and even got Patrick a tie that matched perfectly.
I offered to make dinner for everyone and made some Baked Ziti over the campfire before we headed down to the dunes to capture the sunset. We came back to the campsite after the sun had fully set because it was COLD out there, especially when the wind blew. I had a roaring fire for us to hang out around and we had some cognac and got talking before getting a few milky way photos as well. Hopefully this is only my first time photographing there because although logistically the Dunes are a very difficult place to photograph at, I think it was VERY worth it.
