Mountain View Ranch Wedgewood Fall Wedding Photos
Fall is the best time of year in Colorado. The mountain aspens begin to change in October and the gold, peach and reds of the aspen leaves is one of the most stunning sites in the world. This wedding was on September 27th and we were lucky enough to have golden aspen surrounding the entire venue. The wedding took place at another gorgeous Wedgewood wedding facility, this one in Pine named, Wedgewood Weddings Mountain View Ranch.
Carly & Ryan were a fun and feisty couple. They were super playful and fun to photograph throughout the day. We started at a nearby Air B&B rental in the mountains and framed the dress with the golden aspens to set the mood. My favorite subject to photograph outside of the bride and groom is the children and this wedding had a lot of them! We had a first look with Dad and her two brothers (first time for that) and it was a beautiful emotional moment in the day.
The altar’s backdrop was golden with fall colors and after the ceremony the guests blew bubbles. They were the most prolific bubbles I’ve ever seen, thanks mountain wind. The couple photographs were some of my favorites of the year thanks to the help of my second photographer holding my MagBox (softbox) out over the creek while the wind played with Carly’s veil in wonderful ways. The activities at night were in and out of the beautiful reception room and included a fire with marshmallows, and a visit by numerous marshmallow loving fox. There’s a reason people loved to get married in Colorado!
