Our Lady of the Mountains & Bristlecone Inn Wedding
Allison’s cousin was supposed to photograph her wedding and had to back out at the last minute. She contacted me a week before her wedding at Our Lady of the Mountains in Estes Park. It’s the only Roman Catholic church in Estes Park and one of the prettiest I’ve ever been to. I started photographing right at the ceremony, which lasted about 45 minutes. The Reverend who conducted the wedding ceremony was from another church and was helping out while the church’s Reverend was on vacation.
After the ceremony the couple and I headed out into Rocky Mountain National Park to get some photographs of them in the mountains. They live in Missouri but love the mountains, so were super excited to get photos of themselves looking amazing in front of the mountains. I took them to a couple of my favorite spots and then we headed to the reception.
The reception was at The Bristlecone Inn. This beautiful little cottage is the base for the Estes Park catering staple, Jubilations Catering. It is a very small venue, but nestled right in town up on the hill with a great view of the Stanley Hotel. It was very cold out and the fireplace and heaters were where everyone gathered as we took a second set of formal photographs and Allison threw her bouquet.
