Wedding Album Choices

Aspen Albums

Most of the albums are available with the photo on the front, or with your name, artwork, date of wedding, etc. Having the window with the photo does incur an extra cost.

The text on the cover can appear as embossed, colored, laser-etched or on a metallic plate, depending on the cover chosen.

Wedding albums are always lay-flat, meaning that the seam in the middle lays flat, unlike a traditional book where the content in the seam is folded inward. Wedding album lengths are measured by Pages and Spreads. A Page is the same as in a normal book, but because of the lay flat style the Spread is important. A Spread is both the left and the right Pages when the book is open.

The price of the Aspen packages includes 24 Pages, or 12 Spreads. The average amount of photos that I suggest per Spread is 6 or 7 (no more than 10 per Spread). Therefore the inclusive album will hold about 65-100 photos. If you would like to add more photos to your wedding album the price is $20 per Spread.

The first collection under “Aspen Albums” are all collections that are included with my Aspen package. They include:

Celebrate – velvety deliciousness
Nature – a wood cover with many options for rest of album
Contemporary – like Classic but with vegan micro leather material
Luxe Linen – 100% organic high-quality linen
Rustic – a soft wood grain cover with color options
Evolution – sensuous soft touch material in rich tones

The second grouping, “Elite” will add a cost of $150 more per album. They include:

Journal – a soft Tuscany leather coated journal style book
Acrylic – for wedding albums that feature a photo or artwork on the front in vivid acrylic
Tuscany – a timeless elegant material of Tuscany leather
Quarry – a stone like material to compliment your Colorado wedding
Premium – multiple choices of colors, leather and prestige synthetic leather all soft to the touch and highest quality

Classic

This collection is inspired by the classic photo album style. The cover has several coating options with a wide range of colors, from bold to vibrant. This is the perfect choice for someone looking for a timeless album, that will exceed expectations.

The Colours coating stands out for its resistant and lovely soft-touch feel, from pastel tones to vibrant ones this an excellent alternative to leather.

The Prestige coating is made up of polyurethane and other synthetic fibers, this is the choice for someone looking for a coating with the texture of real leather. It is highly resistant and easy to preserve.

One of my favorite options, this collection is premium velvet and provides the perfect balance between sophistication and romance. This material slightly changes tones when touched, and its soft touch is a sensuous beckoning towards the memories printed inside.

Nature

This collection balances the connection between the stillness of nature and rustic elegance. This album is made with a durable wooden structure combined with a spine and back cover in different coatings, such as micro leather, linen or Tuscany leather. The first sample shows the types of wood available for the cover, the next three categories are choices for the binding and the back of the album.

Choosing any of these Elite album collections will incur a fee of $150 more per album if you have booked the Aspen Package.

Journal

One of my favorite collections, these “journals” are designed for telling your story in an artistic and elegant way. The exclusive cover, manually tailored and coated with natural Tuscany Leather, stands out for the tiny stains that are so characteristic of genuine leather. Its ribbon, which wraps the whole album, makes this diary of memories a real treasure.

This is a collection designed for someone looking for a striking wedding album. Combine an image printed on metallic paper, or a solid color with laser engraved artwork, or rich UV printing for the front cover. This collection also offers a wide range of coatings for the spine and back cover. The acrylic collection is offered with every material and color combination already shown in the rest of the collections. The material chosen will show up on the binding and back of the album.

The Premium Collection has a wide range of options. The resulting album will be a perfect reflection of you two as a couple. The material is similar to genuine leather, with a soft to touch surface that will call to your favorite photos within.

The Colours coating stands out for its resistant and lovely soft-touch feel, from pastel tones to vibrant ones this an excellent alternative to leather.

The Leather coating is composed of 80% genuine leather and 20% other synthetic materials, which allows an exotic look without equal. It offers several colours and finishes (matt, gloss, pearly) and stands out for its scratch resistance. It is the perfect symbiosis between the durability of genuine leather and the creativity of current trends.

Gretchen shot our wedding in May, and also did some engagement shots for us in the previous fall. We were really happy with all the shots we got, and were proud to share images of the wedding with our friends and loved ones. It also helped that she was very familiar with all the venues around Boulder and was able to give us good advice on locations for photography.

Wow. Gretchen did an INCREDIBLE job photographing my huge extended family in Estes Park. We had 5 little ones, uncles, aunts, grandparents, and parents. Somehow she was able to take the most beautiful pictures with everyone looking at the camera. I love how natural the pictures came out. Everyone's personality came through. Gretchen made sure she got all of the picture combinations we wanted. She was also great at selecting the location to take the pictures.

I highly recommend her for anything - especially family photos. She was prompt and very easy to communicate with as well.

She gave our family a treasure we will always have and will continue to share with generations to come of our family in our favorite place.

Our family had a wonderful experience with Gretchen Troop Photography. Gretchen and her videographer- Chris made the day a breeze with a fun and relaxed attitude. Except for the easy directions during family group photos we barley new they were there. The results are spectacular! Gretchen has the eye of a true artist. Even though the weather wasn't great she was able to capture the wedding couple with a stunning cloud formation and a rainbow. These are once in a lifetime moments that are priceless to us. The moment I saw Gretchen's work, I knew she would be our photographer.. we waited until pretty close up to our (very small) wedding to decide to hire one, which added an additional layer of stress with everything coming up so quickly. We also live in Texas, our wedding was in Boulder, CO. She is so friendly and so professional, which made the process very smooth as she helped me identify what I wanted out of this experience, amidst all of the chaos.

There's a little button that says that I can add photos and so I went through our album again looking to select a few that could capture our experience but A. THERE ARE SO MANY. She is not kidding when she tells you this, even for an elopement style wedding! B. They are so personal. I cry every time I look at them, with joy. She gave me everything I wanted and more - moments, emotions, scenery, candids of my guests, stills of a time that I can never recreate or get back.

So I'll leave you with my rainbow picture. It was my one bridal ask, that my guests wear solid colors, since we weren't going to have decoration at our venue. They could be the decoration. I got the idea online and maybe someone else can use it too!

There are many talented photographers out there. There are few where talent, professionalism, kindness, decades of experience and success can all be packaged with that feel that they still love what they do. Gretchen has not gotten stale over time in her work, where instead her work and the experience she brings have become priceless.

Gretchen did AMAZING job as our photographer! We are from Texas and had no idea what our elopement day would look like but she gave us the run-through a week before and we couldn't be happier with our wedding day. We spend a whole evening at Rocky Mountain NP and her knowledge around the park and as an experienced photographer made our wedding so much more meaningful.
