Chase and Ben celebrated their love at their beautiful home in Boulder’s foothills, hosting both their engagement and wedding photos there. Their 2024 at-home wedding featured a large tent for the ceremony and reception, with guests enjoying stunning western views and Chase’s intricate LEGO creations as centerpieces.
The festivities kicked off with a fun welcome reception the night before at Dagabi Cucina in North Boulder, complete with amazing food and a megaphone to coordinate plans for the big day.
On the wedding day, I teamed up with my talented second photographer Shelby, the incredible Spice of Life catering, and Chase’s filmmaker cousin Joe Russ as their videographer. Two standout cakes—a classic from Button Rock Bakery and a playful armadillo cake from Steel Magnolias by The Makery—delighted guests.
With heartfelt moments, matching ties, and two single red roses, Chase and Ben’s wedding was as personal as it was unforgettable. They asked me to capture 90% friends and family smiling, hugging and laughing and we did… there was a lot of it to photograph!

Gretchen shot our wedding in May, and also did some engagement shots for us in the previous fall. We were really happy with all the shots we got, and were proud to share images of the wedding with our friends and loved ones. It also helped that she was very familiar with all the venues around Boulder and was able to give us good advice on locations for photography.

Wow. Gretchen did an INCREDIBLE job photographing my huge extended family in Estes Park. We had 5 little ones, uncles, aunts, grandparents, and parents. Somehow she was able to take the most beautiful pictures with everyone looking at the camera. I love how natural the pictures came out. Everyone's personality came through. Gretchen made sure she got all of the picture combinations we wanted. She was also great at selecting the location to take the pictures.

Gretchen photographed our family during our family vacation in Fraser. She was very accommodating! I love the documentary photos that she took of us gathered in our airbnb and the group photos we took down the street with a beautiful mountain backdrop!! We were a large group (15 including four very young children!) but she captured some precious moments! I am very grateful for her skills and her efficiency!
