Cottonwood + Video Package
I photographed Ren & Brianna’s engagement photos in July of 2020 and discovered that both Ren and Brianna have the same occupation as my husband, atmospheric scientist. One of the primary industries in Boulder is atmospheric science, but still it felt like kismet. Ren & Brianna met when they were chasing tornadoes, which is an incredibly cool way to meet, so I featured lots of fun clouds in their wedding photos.
Brianna got ready at a quaint little cottage on the Chautauqua grounds and then they had their First Look in front of the iconic Flatirons to start the day. Brianna’s dress was absolutely stunning in the light and we got some shots of her twirling her dress with the flatirons and epic clouds in the background. Once we finished the photos, we headed up to Sunrise Amphitheater for the ceremony. This iconic Boulder wedding ceremony site is perched high with incredible views out to the plains. It really gives you the sense of how fast the mountains rise up out of the plains.
After their beautiful ceremony, complete with an altar that Ren’s grandpa made, we headed back down to the Dining Hall at Chautauqua for a fun-filled reception with salty and emotional toasts to the couple, as well as some first dances.

Wow. Gretchen did an INCREDIBLE job photographing my huge extended family in Estes Park. We had 5 little ones, uncles, aunts, grandparents, and parents. Somehow she was able to take the most beautiful pictures with everyone looking at the camera. I love how natural the pictures came out. Everyone's personality came through. Gretchen made sure she got all of the picture combinations we wanted. She was also great at selecting the location to take the pictures.

Our family had a wonderful experience with Gretchen Troop Photography. Gretchen and her videographer- Chris made the day a breeze with a fun and relaxed attitude. Except for the easy directions during family group photos we barley new they were there. The results are spectacular! Gretchen has the eye of a true artist. We also live in Texas, our wedding was in Boulder, CO. Gretchen shot our wedding in May, and also did some engagement shots for us in the previous fall. We were really happy with all the shots we got, and were proud to share images of the wedding with our friends and loved ones. It also helped that she was very familiar with all the venues around Boulder and was able to give us good advice on locations for photography.

Gretchen did AMAZING job as our photographer! Gretchen photographed our family during our family vacation in Fraser. She was very accommodating! I love the documentary photos that she took of us gathered in our airbnb and the group photos we took down the street with a beautiful mountain backdrop!!
