Kate & Tim brought so much love and joy to Della Terra Mountain Chateau for their wedding day. The couple’s wedding day was overcast, cool and crisp, the kind of perfect fall weather the Colorado mountains are known for, and why it’s my busiest season in Estes Park.
After Kate getting into her perfectly fitted wedding dress and the boys getting some shots, the couple had their First Look in Rocky Mountain National Park. The mountains heard Kate’s wishes for misty mountains and obliged. We went to two locations in Rocky Mountain Park and after the ceremony completed the third on her wish list, with them playing in a field by the ceremony site.
After a brief rain their ceremony took place right on time beneath Della Terra’s stone arch expertly decorated by Joyful Poppy. The sun came out for their ceremony as the groom’s grandfather officiated and brought depth and laughter to the altar. The couple had a long cocktail hour, during which they mingled with the guests as we captured fun family formals and some stunning bridal portraits. All the guests cheered Kate on as she looked absolutely stunning under the trees.
Once the energetic Grand Entrance was finished and the guests had enjoyed their delicious food catered by Della Terra, the toasts brought laughter and tears to the couple, family and friends. The beautiful wedding cake with an expertly crafted subtle mountain design was created by Button Rock Bakery.
The dance floor was finally lit up late into the reception after the First Dances and a few more shots at the bar. This crew of friends and family knew how to celebrate this couple’s wedding from start to finish.

Wow. Gretchen did an INCREDIBLE job photographing my huge extended family in Estes Park. We had 5 little ones, uncles, aunts, grandparents, and parents. Somehow she was able to take the most beautiful pictures with everyone looking at the camera. I love how natural the pictures came out. Everyone's personality came through. Gretchen made sure she got all of the picture combinations we wanted. She was also great at selecting the location to take the pictures.
I highly recommend her for anything - especially family photos. She was prompt and very easy to communicate with as well.

We worked with Gretchen for our engagement shoot and our wedding. Not only is she incredibly organized and professional, working with her is downright FUN. She keeps the energy and gives really constructive feedback moment-to-moment about posing, natural lighting, location. We knew each time she flipped the tiny camera screen around to show us that our photos were looking great, but the final edited product is truly art.

Our family had a wonderful experience with Gretchen Troop Photography. Gretchen and her videographer- Chris made the day a breeze with a fun and relaxed attitude. Gretchen photographed our family during our family vacation in Fraser. She was very accommodating! I love the documentary photos that she took of us gathered in our airbnb and the group photos we took down the street with a beautiful mountain backdrop!!
